Here is my experience using this lantern:-

I am impressed by this lantern I got before my trip. Usually solar items are a gimmick (as far as flashlights go) that don't have nearly enough power as needed. This lantern is quitebright for an electric lantern, let alone solar! Very lightweight too, I've brought it backpacking. It has multiple modes - including 7 color lights and strobe light. I've never had a problem with the battery or even bothered leaving it in direct sunlight to charge. Lantern easily compacts and expands with a valve. Highly recommended.
